DescriptionWe have a new role available for an experienced Underwriter/ Senior Underwriter to join our dynamic Underwriting Team based in our Dublin office. In this key role, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth within our Affinity Portfolio, establishing strong relationships with key Brokers and Clients while ensuring the continued development and maintenance of our existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Goals:
Underwrite new business and renewals in line with defined underwriting guidelines and the local business plan.
Update production and pipeline spreadsheets to provide accurate monthly results, facilitating efficient planning.
Portfolio Integrity:
Assist in formulating underwriting strategy and managing the portfolio to achieve underwriting profitability while ensuring quality control within your area of responsibility.
Perform quantitative underwriting reviews, conduct regular management meetings and peer reviews to enhance portfolio integrity.
Tackle technically challenging cases/risks by obtaining detailed risk management information and providing well-structured underwriting solutions. Complete referrals for necessary sign-off.
Manage renewals and new business at a technical level, ensuring documentation complies with company standards and meets service expectations.
Serve as the multinational technical reference point for the branch.
Product Development:
Prioritize and develop products within your area of expertise to boost client retention and attract new business, collaborating with peers both in Europe and globally.
Producer Management:
Represent and promote Chubb corporately to brokers and clients, servicing key producers, monitoring business acquisition and retention, and maximizing cross-selling opportunities.
Procedures:
Ensure compliance with company standards regarding policy documentation, timely quoting for new and renewal business, and adherence to compliance issues.
Chubb Representative:
Maintain ongoing relationships with internal colleagues and major clients, embodying Chubb's values and service commitment.
Additional Responsibilities:
Support the Country Manager, Finance Team, and Head of Consumer with annual planning, quarterly re-forecasting, and monthly predictions.
Provide insights regarding account and case movement for quarterly amendments.
Take charge of setting the Affinity Financial plan in collaboration with the Head of Consumer, Underwriting, and Finance teams.
Manage large accounts by monitoring profit & loss, growth, and retention metrics.
Act as the first referral point for the branch underwriting team, authorizing decisions when possible.
Lead discussions on major renewal strategies during monthly meetings.
Raise Consumer underwriting issues from the branch to the A&H Underwriting Manager as necessary.
Support the audit process for internal branches or broker facilities.
Participate in project work as requested and aid sales development through broker visits to discuss AOL, new business, and renewals.
Collaborate with other departments, such as accounts collection, to resolve collection issues and assist the claims department with technical queries.
