VMTV Planner/Scheduler (6m Maternity Cover) Virgin Media Television

At Virgin Media Television, we are looking for a Planner/Scheduler to join our team. The Scheduling team is a core operational team within Virgin Media Television, responsible for the strategic planning and creation of the daily presentation schedules for all Virgin Media Channels.
Specific Duties & Tasks:
1. Create strategic forward planning schedule targeting the VMTV channel audience and maximising commercial share.
2. Utilise data insights to inform schedule planning.
3. Forecast and track cost against the channel output.
4. Build the daily presentation & continuity schedules.
5. Ensure programme material is correctly timed and with the right break pattern and parts.
6. Import break files and plan and adjust commercial minutage with Traffic, ensuring compliance with regulations.
7. Prepare the schedules for the weekly publication deadline, the weekly listings and for programming meetings.
8. Update the VMTV channel schedule with programme changes.
9. Confirm Final Exchange listings with Publicity and communicate any late schedule changes.
10. Attend regular meetings with internal stakeholders including but not limited to Commissioning, Transmission, Acquisitions, Programming team.
11. Collaborate with Materials and Commissioning team as new titles are licenced.
12. Send the schedules to Transmission for broadcast after final checks have been completed.
13. Reconcile and send the As-Run files as/when required.
14. Provide support/backfill for the VMTV team of schedulers and planners when/where required.
The above list is not exhaustive. You will be expected to perform duties as necessitated by your changing role and the overall business objectives of the Company, as directed.
Skills & Expertise:
1. A keen interest in broadcasting and television programming.
2. At least two years’ experience in a Presentation Scheduling or Presentation Planner role.
3. Excellent organisational skills.
4. Unrelenting attention to detail.
5. Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a constantly changing environment.
