Member Services Officer
Contract Terms: Part-time basis of approx. 20 hours per week, for a fixed term of 6 months.
Job Purpose/Primary Objectives
The Member Services Officer will be accountable to the Manager/Assistant Manager of the credit union for carrying out a range of administrative and operational activities that contribute to the effective running of the credit union and providing quality services to the members.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting members with their account management, processing of loan applications, onboarding new members, assisting members with credit control queries and any other queries they may have.
* Providing the members of the credit union with a courteous, pleasant and professional service. This can be via the phone, face-to-face interaction at the counter, through our website/email, or by providing back office support.
* Back office administrative and operational duties as the needs of the office require.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Experience working in a frontline role within a credit union, branch banking or similar financial institution preferable.
* QFA/APA/CUA preferable, or willing to work towards qualifications.
* Good administration skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Good computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook.
* Ability to work under own initiative with minimal direction.
* Ability to work to deadlines and targets, can prioritise tasks under pressure.
* Strong teamwork ability.
