ASIC Modelling Engineer (Onsite - Cork, Ireland)
Are you an experienced ASIC Engineer looking to work with a leading tech company in Cork, Ireland? We have an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join a dynamic team and contribute to cutting-edge semiconductor development.
About the Role:
As an ASIC Modelling Engineer, you will play a crucial role in defining, modelling, designing, optimizing, verifying, and implementing IP for high-performance, low-power SoC products. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will be instrumental in developing the memory subsystem of the next generation of their SoCs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Model the pathway to memory infrastructure, including coherency protocols, NoC interconnect fabrics, system cache, and memory controller.
2. Work on client IP modelling, including modem, CPU, machine learning, graphics, display, camera, video, and peripherals.
3. Conduct exploration campaigns to identify opportunities for system cost, performance, and power improvements.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define execution paths for product development.
Minimum Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have proficiency in:
1. C++
2. SystemC
3. Scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge in the following areas would be advantageous:
1. Cache architecture
2. Memory controller architecture
3. CPU, Graphics, and Multimedia architecture
4. On-Chip Interconnection Protocols (e.g., AXI, CHI, etc.)
5. RTL design
