Job Summary
We are seeking a sales professional to develop and maintain relationships with customers in the Contractor Channel. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of our Products, Solutions, Software, and Services offers and be able to promote them effectively to various levels of customer organizations.
Main Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement a commercial strategy for targeted Contractor Channels.
2. Promote and educate customers on our offers, focusing on customer specifications and training.
3. Build robust knowledge of our full offer portfolio and apply it across the customer lifecycle.
4. Cross-sell our offers to existing customers.
5. Develop working knowledge of all Product, Solution, Software, and Service offers from various lines of business.
6. Create dynamic sales plans in accordance with company processes.
7. Provide timely information to tendering teams and interact regularly with Tendering and Sales team members, as well as Zone marketing.
8. Collaborate with internal colleagues across Entity Sales, Marketing, Technical, and Techno-commercial teams, and Countries to ensure effective cross-entity cooperation.
9. Ensure customer issues are owned and resolved by the appropriate business unit owners.
10. Provide accurate and timely reporting as required by line managers and feedback to marketing.
11. Maintain customer and partner records using company tools.
12. Monitor competitor actions and stay up-to-date with development needs aligned with role requirements.
13. Support company initiatives and champion product competency development among team members.
Qualifications
1. The successful candidate should have a technical qualification (preferably at degree level) in engineering and at least 2 years of sales experience, including some electrical engineering sales experience.
2. Experience in electrical systems, distribution, protection, and power quality is desirable to establish yourself as a trusted advisor and create demand.
3. A background in account management, cold calling, social selling, persuasion, active listening, and relationship building is essential.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary, as well as a good understanding of power systems, secure power, and industry systems.
Desirable Qualifications
* Background in Power Systems (LV and MV) is an advantage.
* Competence in Software sales would be beneficial.
