Job Description
This role involves managing parts of the project team to ensure an integrated, sustainable, and effective solution is delivered.
The successful candidate will establish strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, capture user requirements, and ensure approvals are in place on schedule.
They'll also contribute to end-to-end execution planning and management, ensuring delivery of project goals and value for money.
Responsibilities include:
* Planning and managing project teams
* Establishing client relationships and capturing user requirements
* Contributing to execution planning and management
* Managing safety and reporting project performance
* Ensuring integration of design, development, construction, and commissioning
* Liaising with subject matter experts and contractors
* Reporting project performance using project controls tools
* Participating in post-project reviews and learning sessions
People (HRM) Responsibilities
* Maintaining own learning and development plan
* Developing professional competency
* Coaching and mentoring junior staff
* Participating in corporate volunteering initiatives
Marketing and Business Development Responsibilities
* Developing new business opportunities with existing and new clients
* Identifying cross-selling opportunities
* Constructing bids for new work
* Understanding Turner & Townsend's 2+2=5 philosophy and identifying cross-divisional opportunities
Internal Management Accountabilities
* Line management of Project Managers
* Recruitment interviews, resource management, and junior staff appraisals
* Knowledge management – inputting key information into the internal database
* Commission and financial management – monitoring project finances
* Process improvement – identifying ways to improve internal systems and processes
Health and Safety
* Promoting, understanding, and complying with safety regulations
* Conforming to local and national laws and guidelines
* Implementing Risk-Assessment and Evaluation protocols
Qualifications
* Holding a relevant third-level qualification in engineering or a related project management discipline
* Experience in managing large or multiple infrastructure/capital projects and teams
* Strong knowledge and experience of project management, contract management, strategic planning, methodologies, and construction delivery best practice
* Proven ability to implement and execute programs, drive performance, mobilize and manage the supply chain
* Experience in complex stakeholder environments
* Chartered/qualified with APM, ICE, RICS, etc.
* Right to work in Ireland
