The Grand Canal Hotel is excited to announce an opportunity for a Breakfast Chef to join our bustling kitchen team. We are seeking dedicated, enthusiastic candidates who are passionate about the culinary arts and eager to grow their careers in a dynamic hotel environment. This position involves 6am starts in the morning.
Please Note: Only candidates with current permissions and visa status eligible to work full time in Ireland will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the preparation and cooking of breakfast dishes to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste.
2. Support senior chefs with daily kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and efficient workflow.
3. Follow recipes and specifications set by senior chefs while demonstrating a willingness to learn and improve.
4. Maintain strict health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
5. Work efficiently within a fast-paced environment, contributing to the team effort with a proactive and flexible attitude.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
1. Possess a strong desire to learn and develop new skills in a high-pressure kitchen setting.
2. Have a keen eye for detail, particularly in food preparation and presentation.
3. Demonstrate a commitment to health and safety standards in the workplace.
4. Be enthusiastic, hardworking, and eager to contribute to the success of our kitchen team.
5. Have fluency in English, with excellent communication skills.
6. Be fully available to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
7. Experience in a hotel kitchen is a plus but not essential.
