Senior Finance and Cost Accountant
We are seeking a Senior Finance and Cost Accountant to join our team in North Dublin.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare journal entries related to manufacturing accounting, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements according to US GAAP and corporate financial policies.
* Perform account reconciliations to guarantee proper balance sheet valuation, applying appropriate accounting treatment for potential risks.
* Conduct margin variance analysis (including PPV, Production, and Absorption variances).
* Monitor variances to standard cost and investigate significant differences.
* Participate in monthly close activities within area of responsibility.
* Calculate standard costing of products in SAP, including reviewing necessary updates of BOMs, Routings, etc.
* Promote consistency and standardization of cost accounting according to Corporate Policies.
* Lead finance on process improvement projects related to material costing.
* Provide finance guidance for customer pricing simulations, financial analysis, and modeling.
* Evaluate timely closure of SAP and subsequent reporting submissions to the head office.
* Collaborate as a business partner with functions across the manufacturing site and wider finance community.
* Drive continuous improvement within the finance function.
* Distribute timely and comprehensive reporting (current and forecasting reports) of income statement and balance sheet, providing risk commentary for top management.
* Prepare Statutory Accounts, Regulatory, and Revenue returns up to final review stage.
* Manage transfer pricing, including reporting and liaison with internal and external tax teams.
* Liaise with external and internal auditors.
* Participate in site strategic activities, offering relevant input and support for KPI's & organisational decisions.
* Deliver ad-hoc reporting as required.
Requirements:
* Holding a Professional accounting qualification (ACCA / CIMA / ACA).
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to surpass internal customer expectations on delivery of information and financial support to achieve business goals.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently.
* Familiarity with lean initiatives and ability to drive continuous improvement.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership abilities.
* Advanced Excel skills.
* Experience working in a multinational environment.
* Knowledge of SAP and familiarity with IFRS is advantageous.
* Intelligence reporting – Power BI, Process Automation, Design Optimisation.
