The purpose of this team is to develop and manage larger scale campaigns that sit across multiple departments and geographical areas. The team is responsible for creating, delivering, and managing national fundraising campaigns for Focus Ireland, and the Campaigns Officer role is to support the achievement of the fundraising targets; key campaigns include The Big Busk, On The Move, Shine A Light, and Sponsor A Star.
This role will have specific responsibility for acting as the project lead on developing and delivering campaigns through a fundraising lens. The post holder will work to specific quarterly and annual performance targets. Key areas of support required include, but are not limited to content marketing, copywriting, general administration, tracking and reporting, and the overall implementation of Focus Ireland’s campaigns.
What you will do:
* Support the Campaigns Manager on campaign project management from concept through to completion including the development of project plans; coordinating people and processes; ensuring all stakeholders work to set timeframes and budgets; tracking, monitoring, and achieving KPIs; and identifying and minimizing potential risks.
* Develop and execute multi-channel fundraising campaigns aligned with organizational goals including ATL, BTL, Digital, and experiential to deliver on income targets and raise awareness of Focus Ireland’s campaigns, including Shine A Light and other related campaigns.
* Copywriting with a fundraising focus, including EDM, social media, fundraising and support resources, and ad copy where necessary.
* Develop and manage media plans and communication strategies including ATL, eDM, social media, resources, and PR where necessary.
* Monitor and evaluate campaign performance, providing insights for improvement.
* Collaborate with the digital marketing team on ad campaigns and social media strategies.
* Work closely with external vendors on the development and creation of online fundraising platforms and microsites for fundraising campaigns, to continue to improve donor experience and reduce administrative burden.
* Implement best practice CRM approach and incorporate all work into the management information system (Microsoft Dynamics).
* Plan and execute flagship events, including budget management, vendor coordination, and post-event analysis.
* Manage relationships with external stakeholders including Media Agencies, Media Owners, PR agencies, etc.
* Lead and mentor a team of fundraising professionals.
* Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture to maximize income and long-term supporter relationships as per the growth strategy.
* Work with the Digital & Branding, Comms, and Advocacy Teams to develop and utilize customer stories, images, and videos to support fundraising campaigns.
* Work across departments to support integrated marketing and partnership activities.
* Evaluate campaign performance by reviewing data and reporting on this to the wider fundraising team to capture insights and learnings.
What you will need:
* Degree in Marketing, Communications, or another relevant field.
* Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working in fundraising or relevant discipline(s).
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
* Understanding of social media and digital marketing.
* Highly organized with the ability to work under pressure, prioritize & multitask.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Experience in writing content for varied audiences. High degree of initiative, flexibility, and creativity.
* Experience in campaign project management would be beneficial.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
* Willing and able to work outside of normal hours to support fundraising activities as necessary.
* Undertake any relevant work delegated by the management team.
* Share Focus Ireland’s values, participate as a full member of the Focus Ireland team, and support activities across the whole organization as appropriate.
* Report to the Campaigns Manager on a weekly basis through one-on-one meetings.
* Participate in relevant training and development courses as agreed with your manager.
* Be vigilant to any Health, Safety, and Welfare risks in the workplace and bring any concerns to the attention of your manager.
