Accounts Assistant FTC – Wicklow / Hybrid
We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic finance team, supporting various financial operations including management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and maintaining financial systems. The successful candidate will handle bank administration and ensure the integrity of the fixed asset register.
This is a 14 month fixed term contract reporting directly to the Financial Reporting Manager.
Your Role:
* Prepare month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Monitor and calculate accruals and prepaid expenses.
* Handle monthly expense reports and track financial transactions.
* Assist in creating monthly management accounts and variance analysis for senior management.
* Compile audit files for both interim and annual audits.
* Address auditor queries in a timely manner.
* Participate in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
* Collaborate with business units to support their financial planning needs.
* Maintain and manage accounting systems.
* Oversee the Fixed Asset Register.
* Lead initiatives aimed at improving and simplifying finance processes.
* Support tasks and projects within the finance division as required.
* BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH COLLEAGUES TO ENSURE EFFECTIVE TEAMWORK AND COMMUNICATION.
Your Skills:
* A minimum of 3 years recent experience in an accounting technician or accounts assistant role within a medium to large organisation.
* Proficient in financial and analytical tasks with experience in preparing monthly accounts.
* Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial accounting systems.
