You will provide assistance and care for residents/patients, supervise nursing staff, offer guidance and support, maintain a clean and safe working environment, and ensure that all operational tasks are completed efficiently and on time following the nurse practice act and state and federal regulations.
To excel in this role, you will need to be a licensed nursing professional with at least one year of experience in a healthcare environment and licensed in the state in which you practice.
You should enjoy working with people, have excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities: Record patients' medical records and monitor vital signs using the facility's electronic medical records software and medical equipment.Supervise nursing staff and monitor their Resident/Patient needs.Coordinate daily administrative & nursing duties, including medication administration, medical treatments, nursing assignments/documentation, managing all assignments, patient care, and patient education.Oversee and complete patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Mentor and train new staff and provide support and guidance to all staff members.
Monitor medical charts and provide compassionate care and assistance to patients and families.
Provide IV administration of fluids and medications as physician ordered.Take Physician orders both verbal, per phone, and written, and transcribe them accurately.Liaise with doctors and keep them informed of their patient/resident changes and needs.
Communicate any protocol or care changes to direct care staff.Ensure compliance with all health, both State and Federal guidelines and regulations, and all safety regulations and guidelines.Record and maintain accurate reports and records.Identify issues or emergencies and respond in a calm and efficient manner promoting the best medical outcomes.Requirements: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in NursingCurrent License in the State in which you are working and current CPR certificationPrior experience required unless in our accepted Preceptor ProgramExcellent leadership, documentation, communication, and organizational skillsCompassionate with sound judgment, problem-solving, critical thinking skills, and reasoningProficient in technology and medical software systemsAbility to handle stress and work your confirmed shiftsAlways follow the nurse practice act, specific to the State in which you are workingAbility to flex to the needs of the facility.Apply Now
