As a Critical Environment EPMS (Electrical Power Management System) Technician in Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team, you will maintain the critical infrastructure that keeps our Datacenters up and running. The EPMS Engineer is responsible for maintenance of electrical power monitoring systems on Dublin Campus data centres. This role involves troubleshooting, project management, and ensuring the continuous operation of electrical systems to support data centre infrastructure. Internally you will be called a Data Center Critical Environment Technician (CET).

Responsibilities
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
* Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for EPMS-related issues.
* Conduct regular maintenance and review results to ensure system reliability.
* Provide technical support.
Project Management:
* Manage vendor relationships.
* Coordinate with stakeholders and report project status regularly.
Technical Support and Training:
* Train technicians and stakeholders on EPMS operations.
* Assist in the commissioning and validation of EPMS systems.
Documentation and Compliance:
* Review and interpret engineering documentation, electrical diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
* Ensure all work complies with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
* Experience with industrial controls in critical environments (e.g., data centres, pharmaceuticals).
* Experience with BAS (Building Automation Systems) and EPMS.
* Proficiency in industrial communication protocols (e.g., MODBUS, BACnet).
* Strong project management and vendor management skills.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Background Check Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
* Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
While not required, we also look for the following Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in designing and configuring HVAC controls or SCADA systems.
* Electrical trade.
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholder deliverables and navigate complex situations.
* High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent AND mission critical services experience (e.g., high-availability assembly/manufacturing/critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields).
* OR Associate's Degree or technical trade certification (e.g., military, trade school), or higher-equivalent education AND mission-critical services experience (e.g., high-availability assembly/manufacturing/critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields) OR equivalent experience.
