Responsibilities: Develop and optimize transportation plans to ensure the efficient movement of goods, considering factors such as cost and time. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software to plan and monitor transportation operations. Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, procurement, and warehouse, to gather information and align transportation plans with business objectives. Monitor and track shipments to identify potential delays or issues, and proactively implement contingency plans to minimize disruptions. Maintain accurate records of transportation plans, costs, and performance metrics, and generate reports as required. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in transportation planning and logistics. Implement strategies to optimize route efficiency and reduce fuel consumption. Provide guidance and support to transportation coordinators and other team members involved in the transportation process. Requirements: Proven experience as a Transport Planner or similar role in the logistics industry. Strong knowledge of transportation planning principles, including route optimization, cost analysis, and performance metrics. Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders. Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements for domestic and international transportation. A degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
