Key Responsibilities:
* Create a safe and nurturing environment for service users, focusing on their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
* Implement individual care plans, considering unique needs and circumstances.
* SUPPORT the day-to-day running of the service and execute a person-centred approach.
* Monitor and supervise, responding effectively to behavioural or emotional issues.
* Pro-actively support service users in their daily lives and choices.
* Maintain accurate records of progress, development, and incidents.
* Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and professionals.
* Support educational activities and address learning or behavioural challenges.
* Organise recreational and social activities, fostering a positive and inclusive community.
* Handle crises and emergencies, following established protocols and collaborating with external agencies.
* Stay informed about best practices and legislative changes.
Requirements:
* Bachelor of Arts or higher in Applied Social Studies/Social Care (QQI Level 7).
* Full Irish manual driving license.
* Eligibility and availability to work with adults or children with intellectual and physical disabilities.
* Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar environment supporting adults or children with disabilities.
