Responsibilities
* Prepare and interpret financial and operational reports, analyze data, and develop solutions to ensure operating goals are achieved
* Assist the General Manager by overseeing assigned shifts; monitor brand standards execution and adherence by directing hourly staff to achieve guest service standards in a clean and pleasant environment
* Develop and coach hourly employees on brand standards, internal policies and procedures, and other guest-focused programs to exceed guest service standards
* Work with the General Manager to attract, hire, onboard, and retain the best hourly talent
* Help maintain compliance with Denny's Brand Standards, including all provincial, local, and federal regulations
* Demonstrate a strong commitment to guest satisfaction and Denny's Core Values when interacting with others
* Perform other duties as required or assigned
Requirements
* 2+ years of experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry; leadership/operations experience strongly preferred
* Effective communicator in English, both orally and in writing
* Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements
* Team player, collaborative and attentive
* Excellent guest service and people skills
* Self-motivated, organized, and able to multitask effectively
* Licensed to operate an automobile without restrictions and have reliable transportation
* Legally allowed to work in Canada (as a citizen, resident, or holding a valid work permit)
