Purpose of the Role
There is a major clinical focus to this role. The purpose of this post is to lead, coordinate and improve access to care for children with neurological conditions and to assign patients to the most clinically appropriate care pathway.
The purpose of the role is to provide timely access to neurology care, to avoid unnecessary procedures and to contribute to the efficient use of neurology resources in CHI at Crumlin.
The CNM 2 (Access to Care – Neurology) will work as a key member of the neurology team providing support to neurology colleagues and referring clinicians.
Essential Criteria:
Be registered on the Children’s Division and/or the General Division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
And
Have at least 5 years post registration experience of which 2 must be within an acute paediatric hospital setting.
And
Higher Diploma (Level 8) or Masters with specialist modules specific to the speciality or commitment to obtain within 2 years.
And
Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
And
Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development at the appropriate level.
