About Your New Employer A family owned food company based in West Cork About Your New Role Act as the main point of contact for employees, providing HR support and expertise, while recommending and implementing employee-focused HR policies in line with legislation and best practices. Ensure consistency of policies across two sites and develop strong business partnerships with managers, ensuring decisions align with the HR framework. Coach managers on employee situations and HR practices, while overseeing accurate records of sick leave, medical leave, maternity leave, and other absences. Liaise with Accomodation Manager re; new arrivals Investigate employee relations issues within company policy timeframes and manage recruitment and onboarding processes, including interviews, contracts, and work visa requirements. Track and report employees' working hours, ensuring accurate data is provided to management and partnering with payroll for up-to-date employee information. Participate in SMETA Audits (SEDEX MEMBER ETHICAL TRADE ASSOCIATION) Manage all employee records related to leave, ensuring a smooth, compliant process throughout their absence. Update company handbook What Skills You Need Third Level Degree in Human Resources or related field Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role Deep understanding of labour laws and regulations Experience in the food industry would be a distinct advantage Comfortable managing grey areas, excellent negotiation and conflict management skills. Excellent communication skills Full License and Own Transport essential (you will be expected to travel once a week to Cork City) What's Next?
