The role will have responsibility for ensuring that all work is efficiently and effectively managed and executed within defined constraints, such as time and budget, and with due diligence. The role will require strong technical skills and communication and interaction with managers, engineers, internal and external team members, suppliers and clients.Duties:Experience liaising with Electrical Supply Board (ESB) Design and selection of Instrumentation for Water and WasteWater process Evaluation of the client specifications from Industrial Clients and Municipal Clients Preparation of Electrical Technical Designs & SubmissionsDesign of electrical distribution and general services (lighting, fire and intruder alarms and containment systems)Design and development of Electrical Panels including schematic review (MCC, LCP, MDB etc)Development of automation hardware and system network architecture Prepare Cable, IO & Power schedulesEvaluation and selection of sub-contractors and suppliersPreparation of procurement specifications and quotation evaluationsLiaise with other departments i.e. design, contracts, control & automation etcUnderstanding and ability to update single line diagrams, panel schematics and wiring diagramsPreparation of FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) documentation and FAT attendance Preparation of Control PhilosophiesWorking to Irish Standards, European Norm, Water Industry Standards (WIMES) & IEC standardsTravel to site occasionally as required to support design activitiesSkills:Level 7 or Higher in Electrical Engineering Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment industry preferableHighly organised and efficientExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenExcellent IT skillsAttention to detailStrong technical knowledgeTeam player and ability to work on own initiativeCustomer FocusedSelf-motivatedPlease note:If you are an EU/EEA national, you will be asked to show proof of right to work in Ireland.If you are a non-EU/EEA national, you will require current and valid permission to work and reside in the Republic of Ireland.Information on legislation and guides to the procedures in relation to obtaining greencard permits ,work permits, spousal/dependant permits is available on the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation website.
