Purchasing Administrator
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established supplier in the hardware and builders merchant sector, offering the chance to contribute to the growth of the Construction sector.
The Purchasing Administrator will play a key role in maintaining optimal stock levels, liaising with both existing and potential suppliers, and implementing purchasing policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain and improve strong working relationships with our suppliers.
* Review purchases regularly, resolving any discrepancies as they arise.
* Conduct periodic reviews of stock levels, forecasting requirements based on the business's changing needs.
* Ensure the SAP system is up-to-date, communicating and addressing system alerts in a timely manner.
* Perform ad hoc administrative and analytical tasks to support the Purchasing Team.
* Verify product deliveries against purchase orders, contacting suppliers for discrepancies.
* Arrange transportation with hauliers for order delivery to our depot.
* Liaise with other departments to ensure a smooth supply chain journey.
Requirements:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* A keen eye for detail.
* Strong IT skills, with proficiency in the MS Office package required.
* Previous experience with SAP B1 would be advantageous.
* At least one year's experience in a purchasing/supply chain related role.
* A confident self-starter capable of working independently.
* An ability to work and communicate effectively as part of a team.
