Job Summary
We are seeking an IT Security Engineer to join our organisation, which is passionate about tackling food waste and increasing social inclusion in communities across Ireland and internationally. This role will play a critical role in driving cybersecurity strategy, managing IT infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with ISO 27001 standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the cybersecurity function, ensuring systems, infrastructure, and data are secure, compliant, and align with cybersecurity policy.
* Monitor compliance with cybersecurity policies and procedures.
* Develop and implement a strategic roadmap to achieve ISO 27001 compliance, including policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
* Oversee the management and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, cloud services, and associated IT programs.
* Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments for internal systems, applications, and cloud services, addressing identified risks.
* Monitor emerging security trends, technologies, and threats to ensure the organisation stays ahead of cybersecurity risks.
* Act as the lead for Information Security Incident Response, ensuring swift and effective resolution of security breaches or risks.
* Manage employee computer and software setups and maintain system user access across the organisation.
* Collaborate with internal teams to align IT security policies with business strategies.
Requirements
* 2+ years' experience in an IT Security Engineer role and previous experience in an SME preferred.
* Strong knowledge of industry best practice for security compliance and control framework in line with ISO 27001.
* Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
* Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar.
* Expertise in public cloud platforms (e.g., Azure and AWS) and associated risk management.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
