Key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring HACCP compliance and maintaining legal guidelines
* Leading, guiding, and participating in food preparation and cooking
* Creating unique culinary experiences for guests
* Conducting training sessions with kitchen team members and ensuring hygiene, health, and safety policies are upheld
* Receiving stock, checking quality and quantity, and following up on substandard items
* Maintaining kitchen headcount and labour costs within budgetary levels
The ideal candidate should possess:
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Sound awareness of menu planning and development
* Ability to lead and motivate the team
* Track record of training and developing individuals
* Understanding of cost control and wastage minimisation
* Proven experience as an Executive Pastry Chef in a 5-star hotel
