An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sustainability Data Lead to drive the development and execution of a comprehensive sustainability data strategy. This senior role will be instrumental in ensuring regulatory rigour, particularly in alignment with BCBS 239 compliance, and delivering high-quality, data-driven insights to support effective portfolio oversight and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain an end-to-end sustainability data strategy, ensuring compliance with BCBS 239 and other regulatory frameworks.
2. Lead the design and delivery of sustainability data governance, MI, and reporting solutions to support strategic decision-making.
3. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, translating complex data requirements into actionable insights.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data integrity, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
5. Represent the organisation in industry forums and regulatory discussions on sustainability data and reporting.
Key Requirements:
1. 10+ years of experience in data governance, risk management, or sustainability reporting, ideally in a financial services or regulatory environment.
2. Deep knowledge of BCBS 239 compliance, data architecture, and regulatory reporting frameworks.
3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex sustainability and financial data for strategic decision-making.
4. Experience in building and leading data-driven teams with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
5. Proven track record of engaging with senior stakeholders, regulators, and external partners.
