We are recruiting a Health and Safety Advisor to work with one of Ireland’s largest building and civil engineering contractors.
The person hired for this role will be joining a Health and Safety team on a large project in West Dublin that is due for completion in 2025.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction works are completed in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and industry best practices. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading contractor and play an instrumental role in maintaining their excellent health and safety record.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address health and safety hazards.
2. Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
3. Provide training and guidance to construction workers on health and safety best practices.
4. Investigate incidents and accidents and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of health and safety inspections, incidents, and training.
6. Keep up-to-date with changes in health and safety legislation and regulations.
7. Work closely with site teams and other stakeholders to ensure that health and safety standards are adhered to at all times.
Qualifications:
8. Health and Safety Diploma or Degree
9. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry, with experience working on projects in Ireland.
10. Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety regulations and best practices.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
12. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and address potential hazards.
13. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
14. Strong organisational and time management skills.
