We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer, either from a Mechanical or Construction engineering background, to support the management and execution of projects through the full project life cycle from initiation to closeout.
Responsibilities:
1. Support the management and execution of projects throughout project life cycle from initiation to closeout.
2. Report to the Projects Programme Manager and support a diverse portfolio of strategic projects.
3. Manage project stage gates from agreement of URS's, through design, procurement, implementation, commissioning, and handover into production.
4. Focus on safety, schedule, and budget adherence while complying with good engineering practices and regulations.
5. Manage cross functional teams, delivering complex Manufacturing Facilities and Processing projects.
6. Manage the overall financial performance of engineering projects, including cash flow, life cycle costs, business opportunities and risks.
7. Contractor/vendor management and project schedule management.
8. Implement risk management and action plans to mitigate risk.
9. Ensure strict adherence to safe working practices.
10. Control and monitor the safe working practices of contractors onsite.
Qualifications:
1. Level 8 degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or equivalent.
2. Project Engineer/Manager experience in managing cross functional teams.
3. Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage and execute projects from initiation to completion.
4. Full project lifecycle experience from end to end design through to C&Q and handover.
5. Excellent communication and organisation skills.
6. Demonstrated record of on-time delivery and right first time handover of documentation.
