Roughan & O’Donovan (ROD) is looking to recruit a transport planner with two to five years' postgraduate experience for a permanent position within our expanding team.

About the role
Working in support of a multidisciplinary team, you will gain valuable experience assessing projects across a range of sectors, including transportation and infrastructure development.
Responsibilities
* Modelling of anticipated transportation impacts of projects using Saturn, Linsig and other industry-standard software
* Appraisal of transportation and economic impacts of transportation and other infrastructure projects
* Financial modelling and appraisal
* Documentation of modelling outputs and preparation of appraisal reports
* Preparation of supporting documentation for feasibility studies and planning applications
* Preparation of inputs for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs)
* Liaison with clients, stakeholders, regulators, subcontractors and other internal disciplines as required
Minimum Requirements
* Relevant degree (minimum Level 8 in the National Framework of Qualifications or equivalent)
* Two to five years' postgraduate experience
* Good knowledge of junction modelling and interrogation, traffic signal plans and urban design
* Comfortable processing and sense checking large datasets
* Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills
* Comfortable working in a busy environment with tight deadlines
* Excellent attention to detail and quality outputs
* Excellent IT skills, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Self-motivated, positive, assertive and focused
* Fluency/high proficiency in spoken and written English
* Experience using Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
* A desire for delivery of environmentally sustainable solutions
