This is a unique opportunity for a funds/financial services lawyer who seeks not only superb client exposure and excellent quality legal work with the ability to further develop their skills, but also a more commercial, entrepreneurial role and regular interaction with key funds industry players.What we are looking for?Due to our successful and growing Management Company and AIFM business we are currently recruiting for a qualified lawyer (1-2 years’ PQE) to join the legal team based in Dublin.What are the minimum requirements for the role?Qualified lawyer with up to 2 years’ PQE in a similar role, either in private practice or in-house.Experience with and general knowledge of the laws and regulations impacting financial services providers and investment management businesses, preferably including familiarity with UCITS, AIFMD and their related evolving regulatory, compliance and governance environment, covering a variety of fund product types and asset classes.Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic business and regulatory environment.Fluent English (written and spoken) essential. Additional languages would be considered an asset.What are your responsibilities?Supporting the business from a legal and regulatory perspective in Ireland.Advising and assisting on the formation, launch, registration and distribution of various fund structures, both UCITS and AIFs.Advising and assisting with the on-boarding of new clients including on-boarding to our client's highly successful ManCo service offering.Drafting and negotiating various agreements and fund documentation (including Management Company/AIFM and investment management agreements, review of prospectus, trust deeds, administration, custody and distribution agreements, etc.).Assisting and supporting the business generally/Carne’s teams on all Management Company/AIFM legal and regulatory issues and presenting internally on relevant legal and regulatory updates as appropriate.Advise and assist Carne Directors and Conducting Officers.
