Job Title: Lead Operations Duty Manager
Function: O&M (Operations and Maintenance)
Summary of this role
* Responsible for managing shift performance.
* Safety rules – permit preparation.
* Responsible for site during non-office hours.
* Initial trip review key findings.
* Operating Procedure reviews.
* PDP’s and team development.
* Managing consumable levels at site, including ordering for deliveries and collections.
* Permit issuer and setting to work internal and external.
* Identifying improvement opportunities on plant and DCS.
* Engagement in plant performance reviews.
* Flag first line defects within CMMS.
* Distribution of production log to key stakeholders.
* Being a member of the Duty Manager call out rota.
* Cost management and cost control.
* Delivering reliability improvement.
* Delivering operational improvement.
* Leading daily operations meetings & weekly planning meetings.
What you will do: Duties and Responsibilities
Role Specific
Core Tasks, Responsibilities & Duties
* The training of shift team staff and continuous development.
* Determine solutions and actions on problems of the day.
* Operational standards, safety and routine checks.
* Permit to work and process isolation.
* SSOW and compliance of contract staff with site rules and working standards.
* Monitor operations in the control room and advise on how to manage deviations and alarms.
* Leading daily morning meetings with key parties to align priorities for the day.
Control
* Responsible, as senior authorised person, for the issue and control of permits to work.
* Task and monitoring of shift team. Implement efficient working practices. Ensuring compliance with operational procedures.
* Check, diagnose and advise on environmental performance, analyse and make corrections in accordance with procedures, regulatory permits and licenses.
* Adjust process conditions to meet KPI’s set by line manager.
* Monitor gas quality and advise on water and condensate quality variances.
* Check process control for normal operating conditions and act on deviation and alarms.
* Review, update and develop operational procedures and SSOW as required by line manager.
* Maintain the operational function of the facility by inspection and prompt reporting of fault conditions.
* Use CMMS (computerised maintenance management system) to raise and monitor maintenance work orders.
* Work with the Maintenance Manager on cost management and cost control including site overtime working.
Communication
* Promote, through good working practice, positive employee relations.
* Promote a safety conscious attitude toward operational activities through sound safe systems of work, accurate and timely reporting of incidents.
* Ensure effective relationships with other departments to plan activities together.
* Produce shift log reports and analyse operational activities.
* Review shift handovers and ensure consistency in the handover process and regularly communicate across shifts.
* Communicate operational performance across shifts and ensure all shifts are aware of operational constraints and under performance as and when these occur.
* Communicate with the Operations Manager and Operations Director on plant and people issues as and when these occur.
People
* Manage day to day human resource issues within the shift team.
* Ensure adequate resource to always operate the plant safely.
* Promote and encourage employee development.
* Manage people performance and ensure shift teams are working efficiently and effectively.
* Ensure good working relationships with the Operations Manager and Operations Director.
Ad hoc Tasks, Responsibilities & Duties
* Undertake any reasonable requests or tasks as directed by the Line Manager or Angus Management.
* Undertake training in support of fulfilling your role responsibilities and to ensure competency requirements are met.

Duty Manager Role
As a Duty Manager, you will be on call during the night and weekends on a 4-week rota for one week, you will be expected to respond to all operational issues and unplanned events.
* Existing right to work in the UK.
* Willingness to travel (Within UK).
* Education: A recognised engineering qualification at HNC / ONC level or equivalent.
* Professional Experience: Experience in a similar role within the Oil and Gas industry, or similar industry process.
* Experience with a Permit-to-work system.
* Trainings/Certification: IT literate and able to use Microsoft package as well as bespoke software (experience of MAXIMO or similar CMMS).

* IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
* Previous Senior Authorised Person experience.
* Experience providing line management to a team, in line with HR best practice.
