To design, develop and deliver appropriate programmes to meet the needs of young people attending the afterschools project.
To ensure the project is fully compliant with the relevant standards.
To participate in relevant training including Children First, Child Protection, Meitheal and other relevant training as it becomes available.
To link in with the Family Resource Centre and Family and Youth Services Co-ordinator on children and families in the afterschools and to engage families with other appropriate services if necessary.
To ensure a high standard of practice and care at the Centre.
To act as the Designated Child Protection Liaison Person in the after-schools project.
To ensure that participants are signed in daily and ensuring that registration forms for young people are up to date.
To work with the Family and Youth Service Co-ordinator to communicate with parents and ensuring transparency of information including schedules of activities on a by-monthly basis.
Liaising with Family and Youth Services Co-ordinator on house-keeping issues including health and safety issues in the project.
To carry out tasks as assigned by the Family and Youth Services Co-Ordinator.
To ensure that all practices are child-centres and responsive to the individual needs of children.
To be responsible for the day-to-day wellbeing of the child participating in the afterschools project.
To look at developing a drop-in teenage programme to operate one evening per week.
Other duties as they become relevant within the organisation.
