About the Role: As the Plant Production Manager, youll play a vital role in overseeing all aspects of the MRFs production operations, ensuring the plant runs efficiently and safely. Youll be responsible for establishing processes and managing resources as well as the day-to-day supervision of the plants operation, reporting directly to the COO. Initially, youll guide the facilitys construction, scheduled for completion around Q2 of next year, and then lead all production activities to meet performance and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities: Identify and implement best practices to optimise MRF performance, driving KPIs and maintaining production targets. Oversee daily operations including material handling, production efficiency, and resource management. Develop and manage work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing and leave coverage. Supervise staff performance, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to operational standards. Actively monitor costs, fuel usage, material handling, and compliance with safety regulations. Ensure all waste material is efficiently handled, separated, and delivered to appropriate outlets. And that all processing of waste material is conducted and in compliance with our standards including pre-sorting by machine loading operators. Manage compliance of revenue and cost-control measures, weighbridge traffic and diesel usage. Develop and enforce a maintenance program, ensuring all fixed and mobile assets are tracked and maintained. Ensure spare parts are well-stocked and upskill maintenance staff as needed. Implement and enforce all health and safety procedures, promptly addressing any safety issues. Enforce all Health & Safety procedures, ensuring staff are trained and operations comply with regulations. Address any safety concerns or issues promptly. Assist in operational tasks as needed and provide leave cover for direct reports. Requirements: Proven management experience in production or waste processing facilities. Oversight Experience in operations for a labour-intensive, multi-shift environment. Site-based role with a strong focus on operational oversight and process improvement.
