Design Build Search is working with a leading construction company that has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to join their team in the Greater Dublin area.
This role is perfect for a professional with hands-on experience in mechanical site supervision, installation, and commissioning, who is looking to take on a key leadership role in managing high-profile construction projects.
Responsibilities Use the Procore Construction Software package to review and analyse blueprints and floor plans, ensuring a clear understanding of the mechanical design layout.
Identify any issues during prestart meetings with the Senior Project Manager.
Supervise the installation of mechanical systems, including piping and fixtures for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids.
Lead the site operatives and apprentices, with support from the Operations Manager.
Liaise with contractors, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure coordination and clear communication across all parties.
Educate site operatives on safety protocols and accident procedures.
Regularly inspect sites to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
Respond to site accidents in accordance with established accident protocols.
Maintain detailed records of site activities and progress.
Ensure quality workmanship from staff and sub-contractors, in line with MGMEs Quality Assurance Standards.
Raise notices to the main contractor for any on-site issues or delays encountered.
Work closely with the procurement team to manage material orders and delivery logistics.
Oversee testing and commissioning activities as requested by the Senior Project Manager, Quality Assurance, and commissioning teams.
Document all Requests for Information (RFIs), damage, theft, and out-of-scope work through Procore.
Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures to safeguard the wellbeing of yourself, staff, and visitors.
Ensure all company standards, policies, and procedures are maintained at all times.
Undertake any other duties as required by the Manager or Senior Management Team.
The ideal candidate will: Be a Time-Served Plumber with relevant qualifications.
Have experience in a similar Site Supervisory role.
Be an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
Have the ability to perform under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Possess a solid working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
Hold a full, clean driving licence.
Be flexible and open to travelling to various MGME project sites.
Hold valid safety certifications and documentation.
