Applications are invited for the following post: Student Counsellor (Fixed-Term Specified Purpose Wholetime) (Reference: 51/2025) The Student Counsellor provides help and support on a confidential basis to individual students who are experiencing personal difficulties which may be affecting their academic life.
In addition, the Counsellor will play a key role in helping students with their academic progress and personal/social development through group counselling, seminars and workshops.
The Counsellor will work as part of the student counselling team, providing support to students within a stepped care model.
The counsellor will develop and maintain close links with other student support services in the University and will advise on further sources of help within this community.
The range of duties assigned to the Counsellor may vary from time to time.
Hours of Work: A 35-hour working week is in operation.
Location: The post will be based at one of the TU Dublin Campuses i.e.
Aungier Street, Bolton Street, Grangegorman, Blanchardstown or Tallaght.
Regular attendance at other sites will be required.
Salary: The successful candidate will be appointed at point (01) of the Student Counsellor Salary Scale €60,159 gross per annum.
