Role Summary:
Our Deputy Managers support the Store Manager and management team in propelling the overall operations and sales performance for our stores. The Deputy Manager will assist with the recruitment, coaching, and development of the team – maintaining high engagement and preparing the team for future leadership opportunities. As Deputy Manager, you will set the team up with objectives and clear KPI targets to achieve while ensuring compliance with Covid-19 guidelines to keep the team and customers safe.
Role Responsibilities:
* Use your commercial acumen to drive and increase store sales, store productivity and control costs.
* Utilise daily and weekly commercial reports to ensure the store is set up to trade productively each day.
* Support the Store Manager in recruiting, coaching, and developing a talented team – maintaining high engagement and preparing the team for future leadership opportunities.
* Set objectives for your team and establish clear KPI targets to achieve them. Follow up regularly!
* Support and manage underperformers to ensure performance aligns with objectives set.
* Be a commercial leader, demonstrating interest in all concepts in-store to coach and develop an epic team.
* Manage stock and ensure proper rotation.
* Implement VM guidelines and share results with the operations team in your region.
* Visit competitors weekly and report key notes within the store and with the operations team.
* Maintain regular communication with our regional and brand centre team.
Key Requirements:
* Experience in delivering excellent customer service and driving overall store performance.
* Competence in making business decisions with and in the absence of the store manager.
* Confidence with report analysis and driving store productivity to achieve profit.
* An understanding of the market, fashion, and fitness trends with a competitive edge.
* Ability to invest in people and lead, coach, and develop a talented team.
