Part-time Banking Business Development Lead Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a well-connected individual in the Cork area to join an ambitious and forward-looking business as a part-time Banking Business Development Lead.
This is an initial part-time opportunity requiring a self-driven, motivated, and proactive individual working in the Cork city area. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximising revenues for the business by implementing strategic initiatives to grow the current business and expand into new areas through networking and digital/phone channels.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with Management and the wider team to understand, contribute to, and ensure the success of the business Strategic Plan.
* Collaborate with staff to increase customers and lending opportunities within the branches and achieve branch lending targets.
* Develop the online and phone presence, including targeted development of the online offering.
* Engage with customers, potential businesses, and community leaders regarding strategic lending opportunities.
* Achieve targets for business development in the common bond area.
* Develop customer solution strategies combining the best available products and services.
* Work closely with relevant teams to ensure efficient launch of new or evolving products and continuously evaluate and adjust offerings to balance customer solutions and risk-conscious revenue generation.
* Evaluate the competitive landscape to ensure products and services offered are competitive, reasonably priced, and offer value to your customer base.
* Support the generation of innovative solutions for customers.
* Proactive telephone, face-to-face, or online meetings to generate new prospects, leads, and lead follow-up.
* Work closely with the lending team to ensure targets are achieved.
* Develop customer engagement opportunities from information nights to seminars to financial planning information sessions to ensure the business remains connected to its customers.
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a results-driven business development role preferably within financial services or similar environment.
* Self-starter with creative ideas, enthusiasm, and drive.
* Results-focused, proactive with the ability to adapt to new situations.
* Business development and proven sales experience preferably in a financial services environment.
* Knowledge of financial services products and services especially in the areas of personal banking and mortgages is a definite plus.
* Ability to assess financial services market developments, devise, and interpret customer surveys and develop informed product and services solutions.
* Customer-centric focus ensuring delivery of first-class service to customers.
* Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
* IT skills with strong database analysis and Microsoft Office capabilities.
* Excellent administrative, organisational, and business support skills.
* Ability to multi-task and work calmly under pressure.
* Experience in dealing with external providers and representative bodies efficiently to stay up to date with market developments and provide cost-effective valued solutions to customers.
* Ability to work co-operatively with other businesses to share experiences, leverage expertise, and drive common goals.
* Ensure compliance with all legislation, regulations, and guidance including Data Protection and employment law.
