We are once again working with a hugely successful production company in West Donegal. They offer a huge range of high-end, high-quality, sustainable products to various industries across the globe. They now wish to appoint a suitably experienced Site Financial Controller.
Position Summary
This position is responsible to meet the goals and objectives of the organization by functioning as a business partner with plant and financial leaders. Effectively oversee the accounting functions of our Donegal-Flex site. Responsibility to oversee the execution of financial processes, policies, and programs.
Essential Duties and Tasks
1. Preparation of monthly management accounts to tight corporate deadlines.
2. Preparation of budgets and forecasts, analysis of actual versus budget and forecast.
3. Development of KPI’s and reporting of same.
4. Manage finance team and work closely with senior management to develop the business.
5. Maintenance and reconciliation of ledgers.
6. Responsible for year-end audit.
7. Ensure accuracy of inventory, assess for potential obsolescence and excess stock.
8. Create ad-hoc reports for various business needs – including financial performance and annual budgets.
9. Reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
10. Cash flow management.
11. Improvement of reports from ERP system.
12. Statutory returns.
13. Manage the preparation of statutory financial accounts and audit.
14. Other ad hoc tasks.
Qualifications, Education and Experience
1. Professional Accounting Qualification.
2. Proven work experience as a Controller, in a manufacturing company.
3. High level of proficiency in PC spreadsheets.
4. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Teams and Outlook.
5. Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
6. Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
7. Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations).
8. Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
