Job Description:
An experienced Mechanical Engineer is required for a global medical technology company based in Swords, North Dublin.
* Provide complete mechanical system design solutions to improve product performance and reliability, including verification and validation activities.
* Coach and mentor other Engineers in the team.
* Support initiatives from design through to maturation of product and process.
* Bachelor's degree (QQI level 8) in a technical discipline such as Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
* Minimum 8+ years' relevant engineering experience.
* Excellent CAD modeling skills, with an understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack ups.
* Strong Mechanical / Electromechanical / systems design skills for both products and manufacturing fixtures.
* Knowledge of simulation packages (CFD, FEA etc.) to enable accurate modeling and characterization.
* Knowledge of GD&T and applicable standards.
* Practical experience of supplier or manufacturing fabrication processes.
