EHS Manager Clonmel Summary
Responsible for coordinating all environmental, health & safety and security matters applicable to Irish sites. Promote a healthy, safe and welfare-oriented work environment.
Responsibilities:
* Recommend and review health and safety policies to ensure compliance with new and existing legislation.
* Ensure environmental objectives and targets are set and achieved throughout the organization.
* Advise and monitor the implementation of safe systems of work encompassing current legislative requirements.
* Implement safety and environmental risk assessments and determine acceptable risk levels.
* Play an active role in visits from inspectors and provide information and evidence as required.
* Develop and implement emergency response plans and ensure specific control systems meet required standards.
* Investigate accidents and incidents, make recommendations and ensure agreed corrective actions are implemented.
* Provide statistics to management and health and safety committee.
* Offer advice on potential health risks at work, employee health, and health promotion.
* Facilitate training sessions for site employees.
* Manage the process of introducing new chemicals to site, ensuring necessary risk assessments and approvals are completed.
* Maintain up-to-date Safety Data Sheets.
* Evaluate First Aid cover and provisions on site to ensure adequacy at all times.
* Develop and implement comprehensive Process Safety Management (PSM) strategies for the site.
* Oversee Occupational Hygiene campaigns and engineering control improvement projects.
* Manage Environmental Licenses and certifications, reporting, and renewals.
* Prepare ESG reports.
Requirements:
* A sound, wide-ranging Environmental, Health & Safety knowledge base with 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably gained within a Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
* Deep expertise in Process Safety Management (PSM).
* Formal H&S qualification, minimum degree level.
* Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
* Extensive knowledge of Process Safety and ATEX Directives.
* Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with various staff levels, contractors, or customers.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
* Background in Manufacturing pharma EHS Health and Safety.
Salary Range: €60,000 - €80,000 per annum
