Fertility Consultant – Galway
Location: Galway City
Reports to: Medical Director, Galway
Contract: Permanent, Full-time (40 hours per week, with occasional weekends and public holidays)

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Fertility Consultant to join our expert team in Galway. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in providing exceptional patient care, advancing reproductive medicine, and contributing to the strategic growth of ReproMed Ireland.
Your Role
As a Fertility Consultant, you will lead clinical care, ensure best-practice protocols, and provide individualized treatment plans for patients. Managing clinical output and performing procedures, activities and working in accordance with current legislation concerning the safety and quality of human tissues and cells.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage patient consultations, treatment planning, and clinical decision-making.
2. Perform ultrasounds, egg collections, embryo transfers, IUI, Hysteroscopy and follow-ups.
3. Ensure compliance with EU and Irish quality regulations (HFEA, EUTCD, HPRA, QMS).
4. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely updates to referring services.
5. Oversee and support clinical staff induction and training.
6. Ensuring the adherence to all clinical and laboratory protocols.
7. Provide a service of investigation and treatment of infertile couples, and to provide the highest standard of patient care through effective and professional teamwork.
What We’re Looking For
1. MRCPI (Ob/Gynae) or equivalent.
2. Needs to be registered with the Irish Medical Council.
3. Ideally registered on the Irish Medical Council Specialist Register (Gynecology).
4. 1-2 years' experience as an Infertility Specialist with hands-on experience in all medical procedures in assisted conception treatment.
5. Strong teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.
6. Enthusiasm for clinical research and continuous medical advancements.
7. Proficiency in IT systems, data management, and patient record documentation.
8. Fluency in English (essential).

Working Hours
40-hour work week, including breaks. Core hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (occasional weekends and public holidays required).
