Contract type/duration: Part-time (40% FTE) fixed term contract up to 4 years

About the Post:
The Cerebral Palsy Lifespan Health and Well-being (CP-Life) Research Centre is located in the School of Physiotherapy in RCSI. The mission of the CP-Life Research Centre is to generate and translate evidence into improvements in services and supports for people with cerebral palsy through high-quality research and innovation. This Centre Coordinator will support administration and stakeholder engagement for our research programmes.
Responsibilities:
Specifically, the duties of the post include but are not limited to the following areas:
1. Manage researchers and other personnel associated with the Centre
2. Plan Centre events and meetings
3. Contribute to the preparation of presentations, videos, and other outputs of the Centre
4. Liaise with stakeholders including Centre funders, health professionals, people with CP, and their family members
5. Manage Public Involvement activities
6. Manage the Centre’s website and social media
7. Coordinate the Centre’s newsletter
8. Manage the Centre’s finances on RCSI IT systems
9. Provide administrative support relating to research projects such as preparing documentation, printing, and posting
10. Create and maintain filing systems for documents
11. Support with financial reporting and preparation of budgets
12. Be flexible and adaptable to undertaking other duties as required
Person Specification:
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:
1. Strong administration, analytical, and organisation skills
2. Have a creative skillset and the ability to manoeuvre in social media platforms
3. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
4. Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in a clear, timely, and effective manner
5. Capable and comfortable with collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders
6. Flexibility and a willingness to learn
7. Ability to work to deadlines
8. Positive and proactive approach with a strong team ethic with a view to delivering for the Centre
9. Experience in administration
10. Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products and common software packages
11. Experience in financial management and communications desirable but not essential
