Fexco Drive Technology are currently recruiting for a Cloud Architect to join their team.
This role is a permanent, full-time position with the opportunity to work from our offices based in Dublin or Killorglin, Co. Kerry with flexibility to work a hybrid model.

Working within Fexco Drive technology division, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in engineering within cloud computing, with a strong understanding of cloud architecture, deployment, and management.
Key Responsibilities: Architecture Design: Refine and execute the Fexco cloud strategy, including migration plans.
Develop and implement cloud-based solutions to meet the companys needs.
Design scalable, secure, and reliable cloud architectures.
Ensure cloud solutions are aligned with business objectives and compliance requirements.
Cloud Migrations: Coordinate the migration of our existing applications from on-premises to cloud environments.
Evaluate and select appropriate partners, cloud services and tools.
Infrastructure Management & Security: Monitor and manage cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
Implement best practices for cloud security, backup, and disaster recovery.
Optimize cloud resources and manage cloud costs efficiently.
Design and implement robust security measures to protect cloud environments from threats.
DevOps: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate cloud solutions.
Provide technical guidance, architectural standards and support to internal engineering teams and stakeholders.
IT Governance and compliance: Develop and maintain cloud governance policies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including executive management, IT leadership, and development teams.
Ensure compliance with financial industry regulations and related IT security standards.
Requirements: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least 4 years hands on engineering experience in a public cloud environment.
Extensive expertise in cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Cloud technology certifications (e.g.
: Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Certifications) are advantageous.
Hands on experience and knowledge of containerization, orchestration, serverless computing (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), as well as cloud virtualization, networking, and storage technologies.
Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD, automation).
Experience with migration strategies, common mistakes and best practices.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, both at engineering and business stakeholder levels.
