Sales and Business Development Manager
Our client, a leading supplier of water treatment components who operate within the domestic, industrial, and commercial sectors, are seeking to recruit a dynamic and ambitious Sales and Business Development Manager.
The Role:
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Sales and Business Development Manager will be a trusted advisor to customers and will be responsible for building and maintaining long-term profitable relationships.
Key Responsibilities include:
Developing New Business
• Develop new business and proactive development of sales pipeline
• Sales strategy development & execution working individually and with existing sales teams
• Identifying new opportunities in both existing and complementary sectors
Account Management
• Support bid process including application, fulfillment, demos, and pricing
• Strategic Account management
• Business development with existing customers, identifying upsell opportunities
• Customer relationship management
• Uncovering and consistently sharing industry and sector intel with Management and existing sales teams, to further inform business and product strategy
• Active engagement with product management function to inform problem or opportunity-oriented roadmap. Through account management and new business responsibilities document and provide input internally on customer trends and demands
• Author marketing material such as white papers sharing trends and subject matter expertise to further develop the company's position in the market.
Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of sales and business development experience in similar industry, providing direct support to customers during and post-implementation.
• Ability to translate technical and business requirements and adjust communication approach depending on audience.
• Strong technical and product background
• Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with the customer leading to a deep understanding of their products and long-term business strategies
• Ability to build strong internal and external relationships to support the delivery and implementation while enhancing the customer experience across all touch points
• Experience showcasing products and services as a strategic fit for customers through sales presentation development and delivery, conferences, and networking events
• Ability to work individually and within a small team
• Ability to capture and identify integrated opportunities with end-to-end solution delivery requirements
• Available to travel to visit clients and attend conferences.
