Data Center Operations Engineering Technician, DCEO
We are currently hiring Data Center Engineering Operations Technicians to work as technical resources in our mission-critical data centers in Katrineholm.
Data Center Engineering Operations Technician will help ensure the availability and reliability of data center operations, meeting or exceeding service levels. Due to the rapid expansion of AWS Data Centers, we are seeking individuals to operate and maintain these facilities, contributing to both facility maintenance and efficiency improvements that provide better value for our customers.

A valid driver's license is required for this role. This position requires the ability to work a 24x7 shift rotation.
Key job responsibilities
1. Assist in the operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety, and HVAC equipment within the data center. This equipment supports mission-critical servers and must maintain better than 99.999% uptime.
2. Support the maintenance and monitoring of all data center systems, including incidents, events, problems, changes, and escalations.
3. Troubleshoot and monitor mechanical, electrical, HVAC, voice/data, cooling, fire/life safety systems, and generators.
4. Assist contractors or engineers in maintaining facility equipment, deploying new equipment (racks, cabling, etc.), and conducting site walkthroughs to verify equipment and system operations.
5. In this role, you will act as a First Responder to critical events and support both new and existing data center facilities.
A day in the life
1. Monitoring alarms and systems that manage power, cooling, and fire suppression in the data center.
2. Coordinating vendor work on-site to ensure equipment is maintained and uptime is preserved.
3. Supporting other teams and sites during events and planned works.
4. Handling rack installations and powering up equipment.
5. Monitoring and facilitating the handover of new equipment.
6. Sharing knowledge and supporting new team members.
7. Participating in event response drills.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience with electrical, mechanical and/or controls (degree or trade qualification preferred);
2. Demonstrate key electrical and mechanical competencies and theory;
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Professional Certification in Electrical, Mechanical or Controls engineering.
2. Heavy industry or data center experience.
3. Understanding of basic electrical principles and systems.
