Primary Function of Manufacturing Technician
The manufacturing technician will be responsible for the hands-on maintenance of all manufacturing equipment, maximizing availability of all Filling, Labelling and packing equipment. They may work individually or as part of a team, in any area as required.
Responsibilities:
* Excellent understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic systems and PLC systems
* Tracking of parts inventory using Maximo system
* Perform day-to-day preventative and demand maintenance as required and execute using Maximo system
* Liaison and coordination of external contractors to complete required maintenance or breakdown service
* Hands-on role at troubleshooting/fault finding and maintaining equipment and plant-related items to ensure the proper operation and service of equipment and utilities to plant standards
* Conduct business in a manner that will protect human health, safety and the environment by complying with all applicable EHS laws, as well as the Abbott Global and Technical standards
The ideal candidate should have a relevant third level qualification in Engineering and/or senior trades with relevant experience. At least five years' experience in an engineering environment in a related industry is preferred. Working knowledge and experience on PLC and QBMS systems is also required.
