As a Field Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in our mission to build future-proof networks that empower our clients, businesses, and communities alike.
Key Responsibilities
1. Forecast, track, and manage various splicing & build field teams ensuring delivery on schedule and within cost as agreed with the clients and Entegro.
2. Ensure that field staff and sub-contractors are closing out work to an acceptable standard.
3. Work closely with the logistics supervisor to ensure crews have stock and assets required to complete daily tasks.
4. Hands-on approach to training and mentoring in the field.
5. Provide technical solutions on field-based FTTH deployments.
6. Issue scheduled reports to clients and Entegro management.
7. Conduct reports and site audits to confirm adherence to Entegro's HSEQ and ISO standards.
8. Track and manage daily output as requested by the project manager.
9. Effectively train, communicate, mentor, manage, and motivate your team.
10. Drive continuous improvement relative to the role.
11. Programme works with detailed efficiency to ensure maximum output.
12. QC and audit works to ensure a high level of quality is adhered to.
13. Ensure sites align to the programme agreed with the field staff and sub-contractors.
14. Ensure field staff and sub-contractors are aware of the project contents and requirements prior to works commencing.
Skills Required
Essential Skills
1. 2+ years in a similar position.
2. Skilled in FTTH networks - backhaul, trunk & distribution.
3. Technical qualification in fibre splicing.
4. Previous experience of managing field-based teams and sub-contractors.
5. Previous experience of liaising with and reporting to your line manager on programmes, staff outputs, and future projections.
6. Flexible and adaptable to work challenges and open to learn and develop skills.
7. Ability to multi-task and work to a high standard.
8. A high standard of written and spoken English.
9. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team.
10. Willingness to travel as required.
11. Full drivers' license.
12. Proficient in Microsoft software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.).
13. Proficient in the use of tablet, phones, and PCs.
Desirable Skills
1. Previous experience within large-scale network builds.
2. Qualification in project management or similar.
3. Previous experience using ArcGIS.
4. Experience/qualifications working on live power networks is highly sought after.
