Supply Chain Analyst Supply Planner Primary Purpose: The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for managing inventory and supply planning to ensure effective participation in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
The role involves developing, presenting, and recommending strategies and solutions that contribute to the successful development of the S&OP process.
Key Responsibilities: S&OP Process Development Develops, presents, and recommends plans, solutions, and strategies related to the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
Inventory and Supply Planning Collaborates with Product and Sales Managers to develop and implement inventory and supply plans for new product launches, growth objectives, and consolidation efforts.
Purchases and manages product line inventories to meet targeted inventory and service levels.
Shares inventory and purchase forecasts and identifies trends through data analysis.
Models and maintains the inventory and supply network in the Logility supply planning tool.
Supplier Management Negotiates with suppliers on delivery and quality standards.
Monitors supplier on-time delivery performance to maintain desired inventory service levels and drive continuous improvement.
Assists in resolving supplier delivery discrepancies.
Special Projects and Process Improvement Participates in special projects aligned with business strategies and identifies opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Reporting and Documentation Reports key performance metrics related to the supply chain.
Prepares process documentation and reports to monitor and assess efficiencies.
Other Duties (As Needed) Performs other related duties as required or requested.
Education, Experience & Training: Bachelors degree from a fully accredited four-year institution or equivalent work experience required.
APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred.
3-5 years of experience in inventory management.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite with strong Excel skills.
Experience with advanced enterprise-wide planning tools (e.g., SAP, Logility).
Ability to adapt communication and behaviour to interact effectively in challenging situations.
Experience using data visualization to drive engagement and action.
Strong analytical skills and knowledge of transaction systems.
Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to simplify complex concepts and conduct process gap analysis to achieve optimization.
