Our client is a leading renewable energy solution provider in Ireland, dedicated to promoting green energy solutions and supporting customers in transitioning from fossil fuels to renewable energy.
The company provides biomass and solar renewable energy technologies and solutions, and they are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their solar PV team.
This presents an exciting opportunity for a motivated Contracts Manager who wants to advance their career and contribute to the energy transition.
Reporting to the Managing Director and part of the leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing Solar PV Projects, including costing and installation.
They will ensure that projects are accurately costed, delivered on time, and within budget while adhering to all Health and Safety requirements.
This role would suit professionals with a background in electrical or mechanical construction, although prior experience in Solar PV projects is not essential, as training will be provided.
The position involves working from the Tipperary office, on-site, and remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead project preparation, including site team definition, documentation review, validation, procurement of equipment, and subcontractors.
* Manage the execution of one or several PV solar projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
* Ensure timely project completion under budget, with the highest quality, and HSA compliance.
* Lead and ensure compliance with all Health and Safety requirements.
* Oversee project control processes: cost controls, contract management, and scheduling.
* Lead the project team, both internal and external contractors.
* Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, providing progress updates and alternative plans for potential project deviations.
* Directly interface with clients at the project level on key contracts.
* Identify potential problems and proactively take preventive measures to mitigate risks and develop response strategies.
* Deliver projects in line with contractual obligations.
* Project reporting (internal and external).
* Establish cost reports and KPIs for project control.
Candidate Requirements:
* Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
* Minimum 5 years of project management experience with medium to large-size electrical/mechanical projects (preferably in the energy sector).
* Qualification in Project Management or PMP is advantageous.
* Experience in Contract, Risk, and Procurement Management.
* Deep knowledge of project controls (cost controls, contract management, and scheduling).
* Working knowledge of planning software.
* HSE & Quality Management - Compliance with policies and procedures.
