Accounting Manager Position
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Accounting Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial record-keeping.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.
2. Process supplier and customer invoices, and handle creditor and debtor reconciliations efficiently.
3. Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, posting, and recording accounts receivable payments in SAGE.
4. Prepare bank lodgements daily to ensure timely and accurate processing.
5. Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all bank receipts are accounted for and properly recorded in accounts software.
6. Support credit control by following up on outstanding invoices and addressing payment queries.
Requirements
* Excellent timekeeping and punctuality, with the ability to adapt to varying tasks.
* Own means of transport required (no public transport to office).
* Proficient in bookkeeping and financial standard practices, with an accounting qualification being a distinct advantage.
* Familiarity with SAGE accounting software and ROS portal is essential.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
* MS Office proficiency is a prerequisite.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, with experience in the construction sector being preferable.
