The project:
We are looking for a potential candidate for a client engineer to work in a customer-facing role for future offshore wind projects. The ideal candidate will have offshore wind power experience; however, offshore oil and gas experience may be considered. The candidate will be able to utilize engineering support services through EirGrid frameworks and will have a broad understanding of the below specializations.
Responsibilities:

2. Possess technical expertise in local Health and Safety rules and regulations relevant to the project portfolio.

4. Ensure robust quality systems are in place and suitably managed in line with service excellence.
5. Manage delivery from project inception/brief, through design development and planning, contractor procurement, and construction phase in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones.
6. Manage tasks and associated deliverables in support of the Associate Director and other senior leaders, alongside the wider project and client teams, to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the project.
7. Demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative work environment.
8. Demonstrate enthusiasm to drive development and delivery of large infrastructure projects.
9. Identify and manage stakeholders, ensuring regular and timely communications at all levels.
10. Work collaboratively with customers and stakeholders.
11. Ensure that appropriate project controls are in place within the team having regard to budgets, schedules, scope, quality risk, and other performance indicators.
12. Prepare and update formal project progress reports such as monthly reports including financial, budget, and project schedule reporting.
13. Analyze issues, exercising judgment to make decisions and escalate as appropriate.
14. Support improvement of processes, procedures, and systems.
15. Develop governance papers and reports to support the approval process.
16. Manage risks and issues and escalate appropriately.

You’ll need to have:
Substantial experience as a Geotechnical Engineer along with experience with Offshore Substation Platforms – Mechanical, Structural. Digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. A construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
You’ll also have:
1. Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
2. Property or infrastructure project management expertise.
3. Commercial and financial acumen.
4. Experience of leading parts of projects within large, diverse teams.
5. Experience of developing and forming relationships with senior stakeholders.
6. Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
