Role Summary
This role sits within the Portfolio Management area of ISIF, in the team responsible for the monitoring of financial and economic performance of all investments in the Irish portfolio, alongside the teams covering ESG and wider impact policy & implementation, investment risk, performance attribution and asset allocation.
There is an exceptional opportunity for a talented and motivated individual to join a team tasked with the management of the ISIF. The role offered provides an ideal and unique development opportunity for high-calibre candidate with at least eight years of relevant experience to gain exposure to the highest standards of the investment management industry.
The role will have a high level of investment exposure from the outset. When ISIF closes an investment, the monitoring of the investment transitions from the ISIF investment team to the Irish Portfolio Monitoring team. Investments range across sectors such as real estate, enabling infrastructure, food and agri, technology and life sciences sectors and either are made directly to the company (debt and/or equity) or through a fund structure.
The role offered provides an ideal opportunity for a high-calibre candidate to be at the forefront of ISIF’s Portfolio Monitoring. A key part of the role will be working closely with the Head of Irish Portfolio Monitoring to bring the team to the next level in terms of reporting, insights and efficiencies as the Portfolio continues to grow. The Senior Investment Manager will need to work collaboratively within the Irish Portfolio Monitoring team and the wider ISIF team of investment professionals as well as overseeing more junior members’ output and performance.
All members of the ISIF team are required to remain flexible to respond to the dynamic nature of the ISIF mandate – this may require team members to apply their skills to other types of investment, outside of their core areas of responsibility, from time to time.
Principal Accountabilities
The Senior Investment Manager will be required to work alongside Investment Managers and Directors across the full range of the Fund’s investment activities.
Responsibilities will include:
