Job Description
Morgan McKinley are seeking an experienced Category Lead to join a growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement procurement strategies for logistics categories, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
* Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers, industry trends, and cost-saving opportunities.
* Lead RFQ/RFP processes and negotiate contracts with logistics providers, including freight carriers, 3PLs, and warehouse service providers.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with key logistics suppliers to ensure service reliability and performance.
* Manage contract renewals, pricing negotiations, and supplier performance reviews.
* Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives within logistics procurement while maintaining service quality.
* Analyze procurement data and trends to drive strategic decision-making.
* Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.
* Work closely with supply chain, operations, and finance teams to align logistics procurement with overall business needs.
Requirements:
* 4+ years of procurement experience, preferably in logistics categories.
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, or a related field.
* Professional certifications such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) are desirable.
* Proficiency in procurement tools, ERP systems, and data analytics.
