Job Title: Architect/Fire Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Architect/Fire Engineer to provide fire strategy and compliance expertise for clients in Charleville, County Cork. This is a permanent position involving a mix of office and site visits.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop comprehensive fire strategies for various projects using standards such as TGD Part B & M, BS9999, BS 5588, FM, and NFPA.
* Lead fire strategy discussions with clients, design teams, building control, and fire services.
* Implement insurer requirements to minimize property damage and business interruption.
* Supervise and train graduates on fire engineering principles and quality standards.
* Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and vendor evaluations.
Qualifications
* A third-level qualification as a Qualified Architect/Architectural Technologist or Fire Engineer.
* 5+ years of experience in fire safety and disabled access certification.
* Knowledge of Part B & M, BS9999, BCAR, BCMS; proficient in Microsoft Excel.
* Strong communication skills; experience with REVIT/BIM is desirable.
